Who Turns Up
You're calling a garage door outfit based right in Bloomington, at 10901 Hampshire Ave S. We work the area from West Bloomington out through the South Loop District and the neighborhoods around them, and out to towns like Richfield, St. Louis Park, and Mendota Heights when the job's on our way.
Most of the houses we get called to were built somewhere between 1956 and 2005, with a lot of that stock dating to the 1960s and 70s. That matters for a quote because a door and opener from that era often runs on hardware sizes and mounting styles that newer doors don't use.
When you call, we ask roughly how old the house is and whether the door has been replaced since it was built. That one answer changes what parts we bring.
We don't invent a story about how long we've been doing this or how big the crew is. What we can tell you straight is what we work on and where, and what we need from you to quote it right the first time. If we can't answer something over the phone, we'll say so rather than guess.
The Work We Take On
We handle the everyday failures: broken torsion springs, snapped cables, off-track doors, worn rollers, openers that hum but won't lift, panels dented from a backed-into car. We also do full door and opener replacement when a repair isn't worth it anymore.
What we can't price over the phone is anything that needs eyes on it. A broken spring on a double door is a fairly standard job, but if the drum is chewed up or the track is bent from the same incident, that's a different quote once we're standing in front of it. Same with openers: the fix for a unit that clicks but doesn't move depends on whether it's the gears, the circuit board, or the safety sensors, and we won't guess at a price before we know which.
Given the cold winters here, we also see a fair number of calls where a door that worked fine in October seizes up once temperatures drop - stiff cable, tight tolerances, an opener that struggles in the cold. That's a real limitation of some hardware, not something we can wave away with a quote sight unseen.

What Happens After You Call

A firm quote needs a few more details: the door's size (single or double), roughly how old it is, whether it's original to the house or a replacement, and whether the opener is original too. If you know the brand on the springs or opener, that helps, but most people don't and that's fine - we can identify it when we're there.
What we can't quote sight unseen is anything involving structural damage to the frame, hidden rot behind the trim, or a track that's been bent out of true. Those get priced on site, because the cost swings a lot depending on what we actually find once the door's open.
